Bilbao, October 19, 2007. Ermua Forum adds its voice to the White family, the Foundation Miguel Angel Blanco, the Collective of Victims of Terrorism in the Basque Country (COVITE), the Association of Victims of Terrorism (AVT) and all those who call for the withdrawal of the photographs on terrorism Clemente Bernad and the Basque Country. Images that can be called "pictures of contempt" for the offense involving the pain of the victims and the reality of Euskadi.
This request is based on the following grounds:
1 .- The mere fact that so request the White family and the main groups of victims of terrorism is grounds for a measure of these characteristics. The English society, particularly the Basque society, owe a debt to the victims of ETA: they gave their lives for our freedom. For too long have suffered from the indifference, neglect and even insulting, as a museum now publicly funded and supported by several major companies from Spain hosting an exhibition that victims feel humiliated or scorned.
2 .- The photographs shown are legitimizing terrorism. When the language perverts and terrorists are deprived of their essential definition of terrorism and are called "militant nationalists", it distorts reality. When the only image that is transmitted from the Civil Guard is the arrogance, it discredits the democratic state officials who are the protectors of our freedom. 3 .- The "pictures of contempt" are displayed in content and political bias, not its artistic content.
